Rosie Huntington

RosieQueen Latifah was born Dana Elaine Owens on March 18th, 1970 in Newark, New Jersey. Latifah was the second child born to Lance and Rita Owens. She is most well-known for her political activism, acting abilities, and her ability to rhyme. At the age of 8 young, a Muslim friend named her Latifah, meaning "delicate and sensitive" in Arabic. Latifah began singing with the choir at Shiloh Baptist Church in Bloomfield, New Jersey, and was the first person to perform in public when she sang a version of "Home" as one of the two Dorothys in a stage production of The Wizard of Oz at St. Anne's parochial school. Latifah's mother was a catalyst. She was always in touch with students and the music. She invited Mark James, a local disc jockey known as D.J. Mark the 45 King, was invited to perform at a dance school.
